A total of eight tonnes of luggage will be transported from Kalyan to CSMT and back i.e. four tonnes in each trip. The timing for the same will be between 11 am to 4pm everyday, which are said to be off peak hours.

In September 2019, Central Railway allotted the rights to Amazon to set up customer pickup/delivery points in several stations including Kalyan, CSMT, Thane and Dadar. With an aim to boost delivery network in Mumbai and over 45 cities in India, Amazon will be launching pick-up kiosks at Railway Stations in Mumbai. As over millions of Mumbaikars commute via local trains, picking up their order from railway stations could be convenient.

India is one of the biggest markets for US-based e-commerce giant Amazon and it is a direct competitor to Walmart-owned Flipkart. With Reliance all set to enter the e-commerce market, the strategies used by these giants to penetrate the Indian market will be unmissable.
