Due to a technical fault in the high pressure power line coming from Padgha centre to Ambernath and Badlapur town, power supply has been disrupted in the rural areas of Ambernath, Badlapur and Ambernath talukas since Sunday morning. On one hand, there is an atmosphere of anger among the citizens due to the discontinuity of electricity while the temperature is rising. There is anger among the citizens due to the interruption of power supply for the third time in the last week.


An increase in temperature has been observed for the past few days. Due to this, the demand for electricity has increased and fans, air conditioners are being used more. However, since the past week, the Morivali high pressure power line from the centre at Padgha has been continuously failing, the cities of Ambernath, Badlapur and the rural areas are suffering from interrupted power supply. There was a breakdown in the high pressure power line from Padgha to Morivali from seven o'clock on Sunday morning. As a result, large parts of Ambernath town, Badlapur town and areas up to Barvi Dam in Ambernath taluka were without power. As a result, there was a morning without electricity. Power supply was not restored till 12 noon.

When asked about this to Dhananjay Aundhekar, Chief Engineer, Welfare Division of Mahavitaran, he said that due to failure in Morivali feeder, power supply has been interrupted and technical failure is being sought. Until then, Aundhekar has also said that electricity is being supplied in a cyclical manner to provide relief to the citizens. But there is anger among the citizens due to the interruption of electricity supply on the day of the holiday. Earlier, the power supply was interrupted for about four hours on Holi and for about six hours on Thursday night.
