On the occasion of Shri Ram Pran Pratishtha ceremony that is scheduled on January 22 and Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Jayanti, the Cabinet approved the distribution of 6 commodities namely sugar, edible oil, Chickpea, Rava, Maida and Ananda Cha Shidha (cereal) to about 1.68 crore ration card holders of the state.
A set of six items consisting of 1 liter edible oil, chana dal, semolina, flour and poha will be distributed as “Anand Ka Ration” under which 1 kg sugar to Antyodaya Anna Yojana and Priority Family ration card holders in the state, as well as all districts of Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar and Amravati divisions, Wardha of Nagpur division, 14 farmer suicide affected districts will be given. Above Poverty Line (APL) ration card holders, Anand's ration will be distributed at a concessional rate of INR 100 per set.
The Cabinet has approved the estimated cost of INR 549.86 crore for this distribution.
