Forest Minister Sudhir Mungantiwar said in the 50th meeting of the Goods and Services Tax Council, that the proposal to set up 7 Appellate Tribunals in Maharashtra has been approved. On behalf of the Ministry of Finance, the 50th meeting of the Goods and Services Tax Council was held at Vigyan Bhawan here today. The meeting was chaired by Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman.


Minister of State for Finance Pankaj Chowdhary, Finance Ministers of States and Union Territories and senior officials were present in the meeting. State Forest Minister Sudhir Mungantiwar participated in the conference on behalf of the state. Along with this, State Finance Secretary Shaila A and GST Commissioner Rajeev Kumar Mittal were present. A special postage stamp was released on the 50th meeting held today.

After the meeting, Minister Mungantiwar said that in the important meeting of the Goods and Services Tax Council, the state demanded that there should be 7 Appellate Tribunals in the state for speedy disposal of complaints related to Goods and Services Tax. He said that this demand was approved in today's meeting.


Online games, horse racing, and casinos will now attract 28% tax, Mungantiwar said on this occasion. Since the term online is not in the law, few cases have been filed in court in this regard. But now since the law has been made very clear, online gaming has also been included in it.
