The ATM services of nationalised banks continued to remain interrupted on Monday. There was no cash in the ATM machines in Colaba and Churchgate station areas on Sunday. Due to Good Friday on Friday and following weekend, a scarcity of cash was experienced in the ATMs. Many faced inconvenience due to the shortage of money resulted from ‘cashless’ ATMs.
These days, many families are planning to head for their native places during summer vacations. Many such people had flocked the shopping centres across the city on this Sunday expecting availability of cash in the ATMs. They had to roam from one ATM kiosk to another to withdraw their money and still, most of them remained cashless that day.
