The Thane Municipal Corporation (TMC) supplies 250 million litres of water from Pise Dam which is 50 km away from Bhatsa dam on Bhatsa river. Replacement of Air Bladder in Pneumatic Gate System at Pise through Brihanmumbai M.N.P willl be undertaken from 20/11/2023 to 02/12/2023, as a result of which the water level in the dam will go down during this period.
Therefore, 10% reduction in water supply to Thane Municipal Corporation through Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation will be applied.

Also, as the water level in Pise Dam will decrease, 10% less water will be available, so the time of water reduction through zoning in Thane city is being increased from 12 hours to 24 hours every fortnight. Therefore, the citizens should keep the necessary water reserves before the water cut. Also, an appeal is being made through the water supply department of Thane Municipal Corporation to use water sparingly during the period of reduction.
