
The Archaeological Survey of India, Mumbai board, will inaugurate the ‘Audio Guide Tour’ and ‘Naneghat Pass Transformation’ project at Naneghat on May 18.
Naneghat, a major trade route in ancient times, will now tell its history to tourists in digital form.
This initiative is being implemented based on the concept of ‘From Ancient Trade Route to Digital Heritage Walk’.
The ceremony will be held at Naneghat on May 18 at 9 am.
T. Srilakshmi will be present as the chief guest of the program.
Abhijit Dandekar, Associate Professor at Deccan College Postgraduate and Research Institute, and Tejas Garge, Director of the Maharashtra State Directorate of Archaeology and Museums, will be present as special guests on this occasion.
This initiative has been compiled by Abhijit S. Ambekar. Naneghat is a very important ghat route during the Satavahana period, and the Brahmi script inscriptions and inscriptions there are considered to be of special historical importance.
This audio guide facility is being started with the aim of making it easier and more accurate for tourists to get information about this historical site.
This digital step will be a milestone for tourism and historical conservation in Maharashtra, and this program is open to all tourists.
The Archaeology Department has appealed to as many history buffs as possible to attend this event.
