Complaints of supply of muddy water have increased in Badlapur city since the last two days. The city was supplied with muddy water on two days namely Wednesday and Thursday. Due to this, the issue of citizens' health has come to the fore. It has been claimed on behalf of the authority that initially the muddy water is coming due to the cleaning process itself.

Badlapur city is supplied with water from the Maharashtra Jeevan Pradhikaran (water supply and sanitation department) situated on the Ulhas river. Water is treated at the authority's water treatment plant located here and supplied to various water bodies in the city. From here it is sent to different parts of the city. But since the last two days, it has come to light that muddy water is being supplied in Badlapur city. This water is as if it is mixed with soil and due to this, an atmosphere of fear has spread among the citizens. There is also a fear of spreading diseases and disorders due to this water. 


As per the report by Loksatta, when the Badlapur office of Jeevan Pradhikaran was contacted in this regard, they said that the main water bodies have been cleaned recently. Therefore, as soon as the water supply becomes smooth, the amount of muddy water will decrease, they said. However, citizens are enraged owing to the supply of the muddy water.
