The booming business of food delivery apps and e-commerce startups has resulted in an increased demand for drivers. As per a report, the demand for drivers is most in Bengaluru and Mumbai. The maximum demand for drivers is being generated from Bengaluru, which constitutes 15% of the demand, followed by Mumbai 10% demand. Delhi is at the third spot with 7% job demand.
Growing opportunities for drivers
From these numbers, it is also highlighted that in the last five years (2014 to 2018) the demand for drivers has increased two folds. The start-ups are booming in India and that is helping the job scenario in the country.
From the time frame of January to December 2018, the job market for drivers has increased by 40%. In addition, people aspiring to be drivers are maximum from Chandigarh and Mohali area.
