On Saturday, December 15, a double-decker bus met with an accident at Kalina during 9:11 am near the Military Camp Outpost.
The accident injured two people; John Sequeira (58) and Manilal Panveli (26) and both have been shifted to V.N. Desai Hospital for further treatment.
During the early hours of the day, when Bus No. 313 was going towards Kurla Station (West) from Santacruz Station (East), the driver heard a noise in the bus supposedly due to a problem in the axle of the vehicles, after which he applied urgent brakes. Due to this, the bus turned to the right and dashed on a wall and a tree.
In the meantime, a two-wheeler from the opposite direction came in contact of the middle left portion of the bus.
This injured bike rider and the bus traveller who suffered a fracture in their left leg. Panveli even got a hand injury. Currently, both are at the hospital under the observation of doctors.
