So far, four people lost their lives over potholes in Kalyan. In Mumbai too, people have complained about the potholes. 

Considering the seriousness, the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) has been filling up potholes. The civic body officials have claimed that only 300 potholes are left to be filled and it'll be done by Sunday.

A few days ago, the city was lashed with heavy rains due to which waterlogging incidents were reported along with potholes menace. Many places, newly constructed roads have developed cracks and potholes.


The opposition party leaders got aggressive over the potholes issue, after which, additional commissioner Vijay Singhal affirmed that potholes will be filled up in 48 hours.  

When the BMC announced that they would fill up potholes, the civic body received 1000 complaints. By Friday, the BMC was able to fill 30 per cent of the potholes. Remaining 300 will be filled by Sunday, said Vinod Chithore, Chief Engineer.
