The Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) has taken up the task of replacing four valves at the inlet and outlet of the Pali Hill reservoir in Bandra. The work will continue from 9 am to 11 pm on Thursday, July 31, which will last for a total of 14 hours. During this period, water supply will remain temporarily suspended in some areas of Bandra and Khar, while water pressure may decrease in other areas.
The reduced water pressure in these areas is attributed to ongoing operational adjustments linked to the valve replacement work.
Due to essential maintenance work, water supply will remain temporarily suspended during regular supply hours in these areas:
Hanuman Nagar
Laxmi Nagar
Union Park (Road No. 1 to 4)
Pali Hill
Chuim Gaonthan
These areas will experience low-pressure water supply during regular hours:
Pali Naka
Pali Gaonthan
Kantwadi
Sherly
Rajan and Mala villages
Khar Danda Koliwada
Dandpada
Parts of Gajdharbandh slums
Parts of West Khar
Therefore, the civic body has advised residents to store enough water. During the shutdown, water should be used sparingly, and water should be boiled and filtered before use for the next 4-5 days.
