Following are the details of the affected wards/areas where the water supply is interrupted.

Owing to essential repair work on water channels, the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) has announced the temporary suspension of water supply in several areas of Mumbai for 24 hours on Thursday, November 2 and Friday, November 3.

The affected wards include M (East), M (West), N, L, F (South), and F (North). The water supply will be disrupted from 4 am on November 2 to 4 am on November 3.

The repair project, undertaken by the BMC, involves the replacement of a 900 mm-diameter water channel and the repair of water channels ranging from 300 mm to 1800 mm-diameter.

The water supply will be completely shut off in the following wards:

- M/East ward

- M/West ward

- N ward

-  L ward

- F/North ward

Water supply will remain partially closed in F/South ward which includes:

Areas around KEM Hospital, Tata, Bai Jerbai Wadia, MGM Hospital; Sewri (East) ward - Sewri Fort Road, Gadi Adda, Shivdi Koliwada; Sewri (West) ward- Acharya Donde Marg, T. J. Marg, Zakaria Bandar Marg, Sewri Ched Marg; Golanji input; Paral Village Pump Zone - G.D. Ambekar Marg up to 50 Flats, Eknath Ghadi Marg, Paral Gaon Road, Nanabhai Paralkar Marg, Bhagwantrao Paralkar Marg, Vijayakumar Wal.

The infrastructure improvements are crucial to ensuring the long-term reliability and efficiency of Mumbai's water supply system.

In an official statement, the civic body alerted the citizens living in the affected wards to use water sparingly during this period. BMC has also emphasised the importance of conservation efforts to mitigate the inconveniences caused by this necessary maintenance work.
