In order to increase transparency amongst people, the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) Commissioner Praveen Pardeshi has asked all Zone Deputy Commissioners and all the ward Assistant Commissioners to conduct field visits twice a week. The aim of the field visit is to take note of problems of the commoners. The commissioner has directed concerned officials to conduct the field trips on Tuesday and Thursday between 7:00 am and 10:00 am.

Alongside, the BMC Commissioner has asked all the assistant commissioners from the 24 wards to hear the commoner's woes at their respective wards on Wednesday and Friday between 7:00 am and 10:00 am.
Meanwhile, these officers will look to listen and resolve the issues faced by the commoners. Pardeshi has also asked the officials to submit a report of the field trips by 2:00 pm of the respective day.

The order by BMC commissioner has already begun its implementation July 24 onwards. The move by Pardeshi is expected to reduce the gap of communication between the people and the concerned officials.
