After Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) implemented strict parking rules across the city, the citizens are facing trouble regarding the same. In order to provide more parking space, the Brihanmumbai Electric Supply and Transport (BEST) has announced that a part of its bus depots can be used for the parking purpose.
BEST officials informed that a part of the bus depots across the city can be used for parking purposes. This move will help curb the parking issue in Mumbai and will contribute to its revenue. BEST will arrange parking space for two-wheelers, cars and heavy vehicles.
Earlier on Tuesday, the proposal to reduce parking charges in BEST bust depot premises was accepted. Earlier, ₹150 for 12 hours were charged for car parking which has been reduced to ₹70. The charges for two-wheeler and heavy vehicle parking have also been reduced.

As per the new proposal, the BEST administration will allow parking in different brackets including three hours, six hours, 12 hours and more. It will also allow parking facility for every day on a monthly basis.
