BMC commissioner ends red-tapism

Mumbai - BMC commissioner Ajoy Mehta has ordered to forward the project files directly to the authority concerned. This will put an end to the red tapism and will also hasten the projects believes the commissioner. And so, henceforth, civic officials will have to transfer project files either to the department head or assistant commissioner. Previously many civic officials have done blunders by losing important files and so this decision was taken. However, project files which will be rejected will make rounds in the BMC. Civic officials will have to give reasons for rejecting administrative projects and will have to submit to the authority concerned.
