Soon, the menace of potholes might find a decent solution as the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) is planning to tie-up with cab aggregators to trace the potholes across the city.

According to the report in Hindustan Times, private cab aggregators will have sensors placed inside their vehicles, which will count every bump the vehicle experiences due to the potholes. The civic body will learn about the same through the global positioning system (GPS) installed in the cabs, after which necessary measures will be taken to resolve the issue.

The mechanism has helped the Hyderabad Municipal Corporation to repair potholes, based on the information accessed by the aggregator’s network of cabs.
