According to the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC), the supply was affected as leakage was detected in two main lines supplying water to Bandra, Andheri and Jogeshwari.

Residents of Western Suburbs especially in the area of Andheri, Jogeshwari and Juhu were affected due to water shortage. They faced this issue on Wednesday, November 20 morning. According to the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC), the supply was affected as leakage was detected in two main lines supplying water to Bandra, Andheri and Jogeshwari.

However, the residents complained that no alert was issued by the authorities, which in turn caused great discontent among people. Moreover, many housing societies in Andheri and Oshiwara were dependent on tankers for their daily needs. The residents later got to know that this shortage was caused due to the leakage from their corporators. 

An official from the Hydraulic Engineering Department has stated that the problem has been fixed and there will be regular supply from tomorrow i.e. Thursday, November 21.
