One of Mumbai's oldest mills, Mukesh Mills, has been a renowned spot for filmmakers as it has been a shooting location for many Bollywood songs. However, the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) has ordered to shut it down for shooting purposes.

As per the reports, the Mills compound in Colaba gained popularity as a haunted place. However, the place will be shut down as, in a letter issued by the BMC’s A Ward recently, the owners have been instructed to shut the compound for film shoots and other activities as several structures there have allegedly turned far too weak.

The note further said that the now owned compound by the Transport Corporation of India needs a fresh audit and till which, no activity shall take place there.

The mill was constructed during the 1900s and what is a ruin currently, was once a functional clothing mill where the silk clothes would be transported through seaways. However, it was deserted after the mill caught fire and resulted in a shutdown.
