The Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) is slated to build a play park for specially-abled children, reported the Times of India. According to the report, this will be a part of the BMC's Keshavji Baliram Hedgewar garden in Juhu's JVPD. A 1,600 sq meters part of the 6,093 meters garden in Mumbai will be fitted with 11 play equipment.

Based on the account, the playsets will be designed to suit the needs of specially-abled children for their ease and comfort. A BMC official was quoted in the narrative elaborating on how this will be Mumbai's first garden with play apparatus for special children.

Another civic official added that an NGO came forward to fund the project. It has been reported that the installations will entail sandpits and trays, colourful lollipops, floor painted games as well as funnel sieves. For wheelchair entry, a ramp is anticipated to be put up.

Moreover, to ensure that the children do not hurt themselves, rubber mats will be put up. Another entrance could be made for children to ensure that regular visitors are not impacted, the narrative stated.

The report suggests that the project's cost will be INR 15-20 lakh which will be coordinated by the NGO Inner Wheel Club of Bombay Airport.
