Sewri - BMC carried out the demolition drive in Sewri in regard with road expansion. 10 stalls and a police station came under the hammer. Vishwas Mete, Assistant Commissioner F/South Ward stated proceeding was carried out on the orders of BMC Commissioner. BMC will also set up a portable police beat in the area.
The road was very narrow and it caused traffic congestion problems on regular basis. Even the pedestrians face loads of problem due to this. To curb the growing concern civic officials bulldozed area from Sewri to Sewri Naka.
