Chembur- The upcoming BMC elections have made all the corporators busy. Well, they are not busy meeting residents but are busy inaugurating various projects - some necessary, some insignificant.
One such corporator of Subhash Nagar has taken up the work of reconstructing the footpath which was built two years ago. According to residents, this is just a ruse to win some love from the voters, with an eye firmly on the civic elections. “There was no need to build a new footpath but still they went ahead with it. They are using our money for these unnecessary projects,” says a local resident Ramesh Khavle. He adds that they will be complaining about the same to the BMC commissioner.
