The Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) has released a list of civic-run and state government-run centres that will conduct the vaccination drive on Thursday, July 29.

Taking it to Twitter, the BMC stated that the second of Covishield will also be administered to healthcare workers and frontline workers and those above 18 years of age at all centres.

Clarifying it further, the civic body mentioned that the first and second dose of Covishield will be administered to those above 18, however, the first dose will be given to 40 per cent and the second dose to 60 per cent of people.

Meanwhile, those travelling from Mumbai to foreign countries for jobs, education or participating in the Tokyo Olympics can take the Covishield vaccine. BMC stated that the second dose will be given only if citizens have completed 28 days post first dose. Besides, they will need to carry the necessary documents like admission confirmation letters and I-20 or DS-160 forms for foreign visas.

For any beneficiaries above 45 years of age, the Covishield vaccine will be provided at drive-in centres in the city. Meanwhile, there are centres allocated for pregnant women as well.

Moreover, the civic body has also noted a list of vaccination centres administering Covaxin on July 29. There are 100 doses per centre, and the first dose will be given to 75 per cent and the second dose to 25 per cent of people, stated BMC.

BMC mentioned that 50 per cent of doses will be given to people with online appointments, and 50 per cent is for on-spot registration. The BMC urged citizens to carry the certificate of the first dose to the vaccination centres.

According to reports, nearly 17 lakh people have been fully vaccinated while 36.14 lakh people have got the first dose in Mumbai. On the other hand, the city has an estimated adult population of 93 lakh.
