The vaccination drive for COVID-19 has hit a hurdle in Mumbai due to the limited supply of Covaxin and Covishield. Meanwhile, the Centre has announced to commence Phase 3 of vaccination from May 1, where all above 18 years of age can get vaccinated. Currently, the second phase of the same is underway.

This creates has created an atmosphere of confusion among citizens and has also hindered the state and local administration’s ability to vaccinate as many individuals as possible amidst the fresh wave of cases.

Meanwhile, Mumbai Mayor Kishori Pednekar on Sunday, April 25, said that although BMC is not planning to conduct door-to-door vaccination, it is planning to place a few mobile vans at various places in Mumbai in the third phase of vaccination.

The Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) has decided to upload a daily availability list of vaccination centres across multiple social media sites.
