BMC takes action against Bisleri’s unauthorised monsoon sheds

The illegal sheds of around 6000 square ft. have been declared unauthorised along with a cabin on the first floor of Bisleri’s building.

Monsoon sheds are a necessary to protect your material from rain, sun, and storm, damages and dust. However, there have been several instances where these sheds have been illegally used for commercial purposes. The Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation(BMC) on one such instance has taken action against an illegal monsoon sheds of the water manufacturing company, Bisleri Pvt. Ltd. The illegal sheds of around 6000 square ft. have been declared unauthorised along with a cabin on the first floor of Bisleri’s building.

The civic body conducted the maiden joint survey of the K/East Ward’s building and factory department, Vile Parle’s Fire Brigade office and Bisleri Pvt. Limited’s building on Monday. During the survey, the illegal sheds as well as the cabin on the first floor of the Bisleri’s building were declared unauthorised.

The unauthorized monsoon shed was immediately demolished and a notice was issued under Section 351 of the Mumbai Municipal Corporation Act, regarding the unauthorized cabin, said Assistant Commissioner of Police, Prashant Sapkale. Under the guidance of Zone-3 Deputy Commissioner Anand Wagralkar, 20 municipal workers and employees and local police have been assignedd with the task. Sapkale said that the compensation for the expenditure of the demolition will be recovered from the concerned company.
