The issue of cleanliness along the Mumbai shore has now taken a turn and brought a lot of hatred, eventually leading to social activists like Afroz Shah refusing to continue their social work on the Versova beach. However, as per the update, Mumbai’s BMC will also be involved in taking this cause on a priority, and as per the recent announcement, the corporation will also clean the coastal areas of Khar, Santacruz among others.

As per reports, a large amount of mud and debris is accumulated on the coast along with the sea waste, due to which difficulty of cleaning the beaches increases by multiple folds. To tackle this situation, new contractors for the regular cleaning of the beach and waste removal will also be appointed by the BMC, in H-West.

Thanks to activists like Afroz Shah who took the initiative of making the beaches in the city better. His attempt to clean Versova beach has today brought a difference as the coast looks clean with regular volunteers gathering to make a difference every week.

Along with the H-west region, contractors have also been appointed to maintain Girgaum, Shivaji Park, Dadar, Juhu and other coastlines in Mumbai.
