A new bus service has been started by the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) for trainee doctors and patients outside of Mumbai. 

Hence, the doctors will now find it easy to travel over long distances to visit medical studies centres. Due to the bus service at Cooper Hospital, now the doctors will be able to reach at remote areas outside of Mumbai as well as provide their services in the tribal villages.

Balasaheb Thackeray Medical College and Dr.R.R.N. Cooper Hospital, Community Medicine Department has been provided with a 30-seater bus by BMC on Friday. The bus service will be utilised by the MBBS students for educational and various health facilities. This bus will be used for health checkups of slums and financially vulnerable patients.

Dr. Rajesh Sukhdev, Head of Genetics Medicine, Dr Rajan Kulkarni, Dean, and Dr. Ganesh Shinde were present during the inauguration of this bus.
