The first phase of the Jal Shakti Abhiyan (Catch the Rain) was inaugurated at the Pandit Deendayal Upadhyay Garden in Dahisar West, Ranganath Keskar Marg, under Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s ambitious plan, “Jal Shakti Abhiyan”. Green Garden Group President, Pravin Jadhav and Secretary Jewel Perera worked directly with the corporation in this Jal Shakti Abhiyan.

Along with this, a bone density test for free was also organized. This operation was done through the team. Essential medicines were also provided free of cost to 123 citizens who benefitted from the Bone Density Checkup Camp. Gopal Shetty in his speech told the audience how useful the Jal Shakti Abhiyan is for the environment. He said that awareness should be created in every society of if this happens, then we will bring a bug revolution.

What is the Catch the Rain

Recently, the National Water Mission (NWM), Ministry of Jal Shakti, launched an awareness campaign named “Catch the Rain”, in association with the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports and Nehru Yuva Kendra Sangathan (NYKS). The purpose of which is to build Rain Water Harvesting Structures (RWHS) to store rainwater adapted to the climatic conditions based on all circumstances.
