Chakala - A BEST bus stop has collapsed at Chakala in Andheri east over five days ago, and is yet to be re-instated.
The bus stop is frequented by several office goers every day, and the steel railings, propped up temporarily, are in danger of toppling again. A commuter Mukesh Soni told Mumbai Live that the stop collapsed over five days ago.
Work of laying paver blocks is currently on, on the adjacent road. Local shopkeepers believe this construction work could have led to the collapse of the bus stop. A similar incident earlier last week near the Plaza cinema in Dadar caused grievous injuries to a school student, while two others were also hurt.
