Mumbai – The election for seven prabhag committee chairperson’s posts will be held unopposed on Saturday as no opposition party corporator has filed nominations in these wards. Four of these prabhag committees will be chaired by the BJP corporators while three would go to their Sena counterparts. The eight prabhag committee is likely to see the contest between Shiv Sena corporator Pravina Morajkar and NCP corporator Dr. Saeeda Khan.
The corporators filed their nominations for prabhag committee chairperson’s post on Saturday. They include Sanjay Agaldare (H-East & West), Ujwala Modak (K-East), Yogiraj Dabhadkar (K-West), Sushma Sawant (M-West), Tukaram Patil (N), Samita Kamble (S&T). No opposition corporators have filed their nomination for these elections in all these prabhags. The unopposed election is only a formality now.
