Mumbai - This year BMC's budget for the financial year 2017-18 has been postponed due to enforcement of the code of conduct for civic elections. Every year the budget was announced on 5 February, this time it will be announced on 20 March. Municipal commissioner Ajoy Mehta presents the budget before the standing committee members. The budget entails the capital expenditure of the development projects for the betterment of the city infrastructure like roads, storm water drains, and water projects. BMC Auditor Haribhau Nikam informed saying that the budget will be announced between 20 March - 31 March.
