BMC has come up with a new idea to control mosquitoes, by taking help of NGO’s, BMC with NGO will keep the slum areas and the construction sites clean to avoid mosquitoes. BMC in all its 24 parts has started this plan and approached NGO’s to help them with this.
Every year, BMC sparks the pesticides at the construction sites to avoid mosquitoes but this year this work was to be done by the NGO’s. In the next 6 months, all these institutions were to be appointed. Out of 123 institutions, 103 institutions have been selected. For which 20 crore rupees will be spent.
But the corporators have now raised questions on this. Corporators are demanding BMC provide information on how much money has been set for the NGO at the place of Square feet.
