Kandivali- Around 45 tons of wood is burnt monthly at Lokhandwala cemetery at Kandivali. But the chimney is not yet installed by the contractor due to which the residents are almost getting choked by the smoke coming out of the cemetery. But according to BMC deputy commissioner Saheb Rao Gaikwad ,"The contractor was busy installing chimney at Gorai Now he will look after this matter".The residents are facing inconvenience due to BMC 's contractor favouring attitude, says ex corporator, Rajpat Yadav at the end of this scuffle, it is the common man who is suffering as he is at the receiving end of an environmental loss , nonavailability of electrical crematorium and choking smoke coming out of the cemetery.
