The Government of Maharashtra is doing the best possible to curb the Coronavirus spread in Stage II. As per the update on Monday morning, 89 positive cases were identified in the state, and the recent update states that eight new cases have been identified today, where three are from Mumbai, three from Sangli and one from Satara

The Chief Minister of Maharashtra, Uddhav Thackeray, recently announced that the entire state will observe curfew until March 31, 2020. Addressing the citizens, he said, 'People were not listening and we are compelled.' Further, the government has also sealed the borders with Goa and all the districts. Sec 144 was imposed across the state yesterday post 'Janta Curfew' and the state took a crucial decision keeping the current situation in mind.

The ministry has also decided that no domestic flights will fly to or from Mumbai, post-midnight tomorrow. Uddhav Thackeray-led government had announced that international flights would stop in Mumbai from Monday morning, but this new decision for domestic flights was taken so that the community spread is controlled and stopped.

Besides that, the state of Maharashtra has been witnessing an increase over the last few years. More cases are being tested positive in Mumbai and other cities, and hence the citizens have been told to strictly stay home as much as possible and leave only if necessary. Mumbai Police and officers across Maharashtra have been controlling the same to the best possibility.

The lifeline of Mumbai - local trains - were shut on Monday and BEST buses are functional only for essential services, where officers are checking IDs to ensure that people do not misuse the services for their needs.

Earlier today, Health minister Rajesh Tope also stated that Coronavirus suspects who've tested negative will also be under isolation for 14 days. The decision has been taken based on Centre's new precautionary advisory.
