CR's Scrap Revenue of INR 100.08 crore April-June 2022 is the highest ever

Central Railways (CR) has continued its relentless efforts towards achieving “Zero Scrap Mission” to make all stations, sections, installations, depots, workshops, sheds, workplace covering all departments/Divisions free from scrap .

During the current year from April to June 2022, Central Railway registered a revenue of INR 100.08 crores from sale of scrap which is 62.94 per cent more when compared to the revenue of INR 61.42 crores achieved during the corresponding period of last year i.e. April to June 2021.

The scarp sale revenue of INR 100.08 crores generated by Central Railway is the highest ever revenue generated from sale of scrap for April to June period in any year.  

Anil Kumar Lahoti, General Manager, Central Railway said that the disposal of scrap has not only helped in generating revenue but also to keep the premises clean and environment friendly.

Moreover, Central Railways (CR) in another initiative for providing Divyangjan-friendly amenities at its railway stations. It is the pioneer railway system on Indian Railways and has been committed to provide a safe and comfortable journey to its countless passengers in general and Divyangjan in particular.
