Central Railway (CR) on Thursday, September 28, announced a major 38-hour traffic block on both the Up and Down lines between Belapur and Panvel suburban stations.
The block is scheduled to take place from 11 pm on September 30, 2023, to 1 pm on October 2, 2023 – a period during which educational institutions and most of the offices will remain closed.
This block is being carried out to facilitate the remodelling work, a critical component of the construction of two new lines for the Western Dedicated Freight Corridor.
However, owing to this, there will be No Mega Block on CSMT-Kalyan section main line and CSMT-Panvel harbour line including Trans-harbour line and BSU line suburban sections of Central Railway this Sunday, October 1, 2023.
Repercussion on Harbour line Suburban Trains:
Suburban services will not be available between Belapur and Panvel Station on Harbour and Trans-Harbour lines during the block period.
Up and Down suburban services on Harbour line will be short terminated/originated at Belapur, Nerul and Vashi stations.
Up and Down suburban services on Trans- Harbour line will run between Thane and Nerul/Vashi stations only.
Revised Train Timings During the Block:
Last local train for Panvel on Down Harbour line before the start of Block will leave CSMT at 21.02 hrs and will reach Panvel at 22.22 hrs on 30.09.2023.
Last local train leaving Panvel on Up Harbour line before the Block will leave Panvel at 22.35 hrs and will reach CSMT at 23.54 hrs on 30.09.2023.
Last local train for Panvel on Down Trans-Harbour line before the Block will leave Thane at 21.36 hrs and will reach Panvel at 22.28 hrs on 30.09.2023.
Last local train leaving Panvel on Up Trans-Harbour line before the Block will leave Panvel at 21.20 hrs and will reach Thane at 22.12 hrs on 30.09.2023.
First local train after the block from CSMT for Panvel will leave CSMT at 12.08 hrs and will reach Panvel at 13.29 hrs on 02.10.2023.
First local train after the Block from Panvel towards CSMT will leave Panvel at 13.37 hrs and will reach CSMT at 14.56 hrs on 02.10.2023.
First local train after the Block from Thane for Panvel will leave Thane at 13.24 hrs and will reach Panvel at 14.16 hrs on 02.10.2023.
First local train after the Block from Panvel towards Thane will leave Panvel at 14.01 hrs and will reach Thane at 14.54 hrs on 02.10.2023.
