Competitions in any field is a driving factor that motivates an individual or group of individuals to exhibit the best, thereby help in achieving the goals to perfection. Keeping this in mind, as the Swachhata Pakhwara activities was nearing culmination, stations across the zone organized its final day’s theme on Swachh Pratiyogita i.e., Clean Competition. Essay writing, Drawing and Slogan competitions on themes of Swachhata, Pollution Control and Plastic Ban etc. were organized by divisions and workshops. Nukkad Nataks on Cleanliness and sanitation were also witnessed in some divisions of Central Railway.

MUMBAI DIVISION
Cleaning activities were carried out at stations like Chembur, Masjid, Panvel etc. in concourse area, entry/exit points, foot over bridge etc. At Nirmal Park, Officers' Colony in Byculla, the medical department of Mumbai division organized a drawing competition for children on the topic “BAN ON SINGLE USE OF PLASTIC” and distributed prizes to the winners. On the occasion children were also educated on harmful effects of Plastic and importance of Cleanliness in everyday life.

PUNE DIVISION
Safai Karmacharis at Pune station cleaned the booking offices and railway offices. Rallies were organized at station to create Swachhata awareness amongst passengers and staff. Participation of passengers were encouraged to arouse awareness on clean surroundings. Prashna Manjusha i.e., a quiz competition was arranged for contractual staff at Pune station and they were motivated by awarding appropriately.

SOLAPUR DIVISION
Chief Health Inspectors at Solapur, Pandharpur and Kopargaon stations supervised the thorough cleaning of platform premises, waiting halls, Station Director's office. The rest houses were also entirely cleaned and sanitized.

BHUSAVAL DIVISION
Swachhata rallies were organized at Jalgaon station with an active participation of Station Staff, C&W staff, electrical staff as well as cleaning staff. This was followed by shramdaan activities. Essay and Slogan competition were organized at Bhusaval on the virtual platform for staff and their families on the occasion of Swachh Competition.
A Nukkad Natak was also organized by Zonal Railway Training Institute Bhusaval on themes relating to clean surroundings and Gandhiji’s vision of Clean India.

NAGPUR DIVISION
At Ajni station NCC and NSS students of Dhanwate National College undertook a cleanliness drive to bring awareness on cleanliness in and around railway premises. A workshop on Plastic ban was organized at Betul station. At Nagpur online Slogan Writing Competition was conducted using Google Meet and Google Forms.
