One rupee clinic which was started on the basis of no profit, no loss, now will do medical tests at nominal rates. These medical tests which cost Rs. 3,000 to Rs. 5,000 will be available at 50% discounted rates. This service has started from Thursday.
The different department for the same has started at Ghatkopar, Mulund and Kurla’s one rupee clinic. “Here, one will be able to do a thyroid test, cancer test and other medical tests at a lesser price. Blood tests will also be done, samples of which will be sent to the labs. The reports will be then sent by email to the patient,” said Dr. Rahul Ghule, founder.
In private hospitals, CT scan which costs Rs. 3,000 will cost at Rs. 1,500 at one rupee clinic. Likewise, MRI scan which costs Rs. 5,000 will be available for Rs. 3,000.
