BMC commissioner unveils Dabbawala’s memorial

Finally, after two months of wait, BMC commissioner Ajoy Mehta unveiled the memorial to honour the work of dabbawala. RBG Art Foundation had kept the memorial ready two months back at Haji Ali chowk but due to the code of conduct, the unveiling was pushed ahead.

However, on Friday, Mehta unveiled the memorial. For the unveiling, RPG group’s chairman Harsh Goenka, sculptor Vilay Shende and Dabbawala Association’s president Bhausaheb Karvande were present.
