The bridge over the flower market at Dadar, under repairs for the last two months, is causing nightmares to commuters.
It was before the elections in February that the authorities woke up to the redevelopment works of the bridge. But the work is yet to be completed and commuters face serious problems, given that the bridge is located centrally in the bustling marketplace of Dadar.
On the other hand, Sheetla Prasad, the Chief Engineer of the redevelopment project says that the entire project is seeing a delay due to the faulty water pipe line fitted right in the centre of the road, which needs to be either replaced or has to be fitted at the side.
Till the state departments sort out this one, pedestrians, office goers and students will just have to grimace and bear it.
