Masjid Bunder - It feels hawkers are now least bothered about the demolition drive conducted by BMC. On Friday afternoon, BMC initiated a demolition drive on Sant Tukaram Marg, Masjid Bunder, in which 15 food stalls, 5 unauthorised stalls, 5 betel shops were under the radar of civic body. A day passed, and the hawkers were back on the street on Saturday. They indeed got the guts! Resident Shankar Sakhare has asked BMC to take a strict action against these hawkers so that they don't dare to set up their stalls again and pose the problem for the commuters.
