According to the High Court’s order, illegal constructions were removed from around 10 meters of Tansa pipeline. Accordingly, in the last few days, the N-division of the corporation has demolished 1938 hutments. Action taken against encroachment in Katodipada, Khandoba Hill and Ram Nagar was also taken. After this action, a large quantity of debris was generated in the surrounding area. Residents have to suffer due to roads being blocked in Khandoba hill, Katodipada and Ram Nagar areas.

This has affected the residents of Jai Malhar, Sewa Nagar, Kumbhar Chal, Vyathnagar, Rahul Nagar, Ram nagar and Priyadarshini Society. Although no direct action has been taken in this department, the road going to Ghatkhopar station, Sakinaka, Khairani Road, Bhatwadi, Sakinaka and Sant Muktabai Hospital is closed. The residents have to go through a major detour. Maruti Salaskar (local resident) said that due to this action the water channels were damaged and the water supply was blocked. Also, the contract for removing debris has been handed out and soon the work will be started. Narendra Divisional Commissioner, N-Division, has said that the Municipal Corporation will soon take action on the issue of water and roads.
