One of India's leading supply chain services, Delhivery, is all set to deliver 65 to 75 million packages during the coming festive season. As per reports, these numbers are more than 100 per cent, in comparison to the last year, and it is said that the team during 2020 festive season aims to make a set number of appointments in the next few weeks. Focusing on the same, a team of security guards, drivers, service centres and other facilities will be planned.

Reports also state that the company is considering the ability to expand the deliver goods business through its various partnership programs, for which the team will look at on-boarding individual bikers, transporters, local grocers and professionals. 

Sharing more about the development, Sandeep Barsia, Managing Director and Chief Business Officer, Delhivery said that the company will continue to make significant investments to build world-class infrastructure. As per the information provided by him, the platform, today has a physical footprint of over 12 million square feet (grown in the last one year) and this has been possible also with the launch of terminals in Bilaspur, Bhiwandi and Bangalore. These facilities have been developed keeping the upcoming festival season in mind, and in line with the original plan, the company will invest over INR 300 crore and expand in the next 18 to 24 months. 

As of now, Delhivery plans to grow and collaborate with more than 25,000 partner sign-ups across India and will soon double the current base. Further, the company had paid more than INR 100 crores to Last Mile Partners this season; and over12,000 businesses and individuals have already partnered with the platform.
