Dombivli: Dog stuck in a jar for three hours was rescued by PAWS

A stray dog’s head got stuck in a plastic jar in Dombivli MIDC who was later rescued by PAWS organisation volunteers. Former corporator Nandu Thosar was called by the locals and asked for help, following which he immediately called the helpline of the PAWS organisation. Nilesh Bhanage arranged the staff in the next 20 minutes and sent the ambulance of the PAWS organisation.

Mahesh Salunkhe of PAWS organisation ran and caught this dog in the catcher, cut the jar a little and saved the life of the animal. Residents of MIDC society were looking for the help and finally they could save the dog's life with the help of PAWS.

Trustee Anuradha Ramaswamy said that citizens should stop using plastic and stop throwing plastic on the streets. Nilesh Bhanage said that every society should keep earthen or cement water filled pots for animals and birds in their area.
