Don’t deface walls, resident pleads BMC

Goregaon - "There is no need of defacing the walls," urged Milind Verlekar, a resident, wrote in his letter to BMC commissioner Ajoy Mehta.
It is always seen that during code of conduct, civic officials paint out corporator’s name in their respective areas, as it violates the code of conduct rules and regulations. Verlekar is of the view that they should go for other options. "Instead of painting they can placed newspapers on the names of corporator as they can be easily removed. Painting defaces the city," said Milind Verlekar. He is of the view that painting out corporators name will serve no purpose as people are aware about their corporators and their works.
