The time has finally come for the e-auction of 173 shops at various locations in Mumbai by the Mumbai Division of MHADA. E-auction of these shops will be held on June 11. Mumbai Board expects revenue of at least INR 125 crore from this e-auction.
Mumbai Board decided to sell the shops of its housing projects through e-auction and issued advertisements for e-auction of 173 shops in February. Therefore, the process of registration, application acceptance and bid determination started from March 1. According to the advertisement, e-auction of shops was to be held on March 20.
But before that, the Mumbai Board canceled the March 20 e-auction of shops and extended the deadline for registration, application-sale-acceptance and bid determination. The deadline was extended till June 5 to ensure better response to the code of conduct and e-auction. The date of e-auction was not announced while extending the deadline. But now the code of conduct will expire and the deadline of June 5 will also expire. Therefore now the board has fixed the date of e-auction.
A senior board official said that e-auction of 173 shops will be held on June 11. He also said that this date will be officially announced soon. In such a situation, how many 173 shops got responses and how many applications were filed, it will be clear only after June 5.
