Chembur - Encroachment in the metropolitan city is a cliche but a big problem. The tea stalls, food corners, pan-bidi shop in the area is troubling commuters. Residents have tried meeting Sub-Collector Pramod Salve, but it has failed. No action has been taken to weed away the encroachers from the area by any of the authoritative body.
