Wadala - Indian railways have always been late. In 2015, a decision was taken to install escalators and 34 elevators on 36 central railway stations. Wadala was to have 3 escalators as per the proposed scheme. The work kickstarted on Sunday, where in gutters were set up in the night after local service was closed and during megablock. State railway development corporation's Assistant Engineer Rajesh R. Pillai inaugurated the project.
