Member Prakash Solanke raised a question in this regard. Responding to this, Chief Minister Eknath Shinde said that there is an additional demand of INR 3,300 crore to compensate the farmers. The committee is examining this demand. Out of INR 6,800 crore, INR 6000 crore have been distributed to the farmers to compensate them for different natural losses.
The INR 50,000 grant has been given as an incentive to the farmers who regularly repay the loan. So far a total of INR 4,700 crore has been given as a grant. About 12 lakh farmers have benefited from this grant.
