Fire breaks out at Nair Hospital's OPD building

As per reports, the rescue teams rushed to the spot and doused the fire. No injuries or casualties were reported.

A fire incident was reported at Mumbai's Nair Hospital on Saturday, November 21, 2020. As per reports, the fire broke out in the electric ducting on the second and third floor of the hospital's OPD building. 

Rescue teams were informed about the same, and three fire engines were rushed to the spot. An efficient and prompt response was taken by the teams and the fire was immediately extinguished. No injuries or casualties were reported. 

Nair Hospital is one of the most visited hospitals in Mumbai and several coronavirus (COVID19) patients are being treated at the hospital currently. 

Several fire incidents have been reported in the city over the last few months, and observing the same, the local administration and the Mumbai Fire brigade conducted an inspection of all malls across the city, post which the team issued notices to 29 malls for deficiencies found in the fire safety measures.

This is the sixth fire incident reported in the MMR region over the last seven days. Earlier this week, incidents were reported in Byculla, Kurla, Sakinaka, Dahisar and Kalyan
